Maintenance Engineer (M&E)\n\n📍 Multi-Site Portfolio (Local / Regional Travel Required)\n🏢 Pareto FM\n🕒 Full-Time | Monday – Friday\n\nJoin a high-performing engineering team where standards matter.\n\nWe’re looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a defined portfolio of client sites.\n\nThis is a hands-on role where you’ll ensure mechanical and electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in full compliance, while working as part of a close-knit engineering team.\n\nYou’ll cover multiple nearby sites within a regional patch, so some travel between locations is required. (Using company vehicle)\n\nIf you enjoy fault-finding, problem-solving, and taking ownership of building performance, this is a strong opportunity to develop within a supportive FM environment.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll be responsible for maintaining the client’s mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring assets remain safe, reliable, and fully operational.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * \n\n Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance\n\n * \n\n Maintaining and repairing mechanical & electrical systems and associated components\n\n * \n\n Fault-finding across HVAC, pumps, generators, lighting and small power systems\n\n * \n\n Responding to breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations\n\n * \n\n Responding to BMS alarms and carrying out first-line diagnostics\n\n * \n\n Ensuring HVAC systems maintain comfortable environmental conditions\n\n * \n\n Completing simPRO tasks with accurate records and photographic evidence\n\n * \n\n Maintaining logbooks and compliance documentation (electrical, mechanical, water systems)\n\n * \n\n Supporting statutory planned maintenance and escalating issues where required\n\n * \n\n Carrying out plant start-up, shutdown, changeover and optimisation procedures\n\n * \n\n Undertaking regular site walk-rounds to ensure safety, cleanliness and performance\n\n * \n\n Supporting subcontractors and reviewing works on site\n\n * \n\n Carrying out small repair and installation tasks as required\n\n * \n\n Ensuring all plant rooms are safe, tidy and compliant\n\n * \n\n Communicating clearly with supervisors, account management and clients\n\nTeam Structure\n\nYou will work alongside 2 site engineers and a Contract Support\n\nReporting into the Account Manager\n\nSupported by wider Pareto FM engineering and operational teams\n\nStrong focus on teamwork, communication and shared standards\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nEssential:\n\n * \n\n City & Guilds Level 3 (Electrical or Mechanical discipline)\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in Building Services / M&E maintenance\n\nDesirable:\n\n18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations\n\nIOSH Working Safely\n\nPASMA & IPAF (1b / 3a / 3b)\n\nUnvented hot water systems training\n\nBMS / controls / HVAC / generator systems experience\n\nACOP L8 / water systems knowledge\n\nExperience Required\n\nExperience working across a range of building services systems, including:\n\n * \n\n Boiler plant and ventilation systems\n\n * \n\n Pumps and pressurisation systems\n\n * \n\n Generators and switchgear\n\n * \n\n Cables, batteries, lighting and small power systems\n\n * \n\n Drainage, plumbing and sanitary systems\n\nAbout You\n\nCustomer-focused with a professional approach\n\nOrganised and able to manage multiple priorities\n\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving ability\n\nComfortable working in a team and independently\n\nCalm and effective in high-pressure situations\n\nCommitted to safety, compliance and quality\n\nWhy Join Pareto FM?\n\nStable static role with variety across a local portfolio\n\nStrong team structure and support network\n\nExposure to a wide range of building systems\n\nFocus on compliance, safety and engineering standards\n\nOpportunities for training and development within FM\n\nIf you’re an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, well-structured role with variety and support, we’d like to hear from you
